BEYOND THE STEPS- DANCE THEATRE INTENSIVE (JUNE 28-JULY 2)
Ages: 10-15
Camp Dates: June 28 - July 2
Camp Times: 9AM - 5PM
Registration Fee: $95 (after March 1st)
Camp Tuition: $550/week
Every movement tells a story, and this summer your dancer learns to tell it. "Beyond the Steps" is a one-week dance theatre intensive for preteens and teens. Campers train across jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, and lyrical dance, and they also learn what most dance classes skip: acting through dance. They build characters through movement, use their faces and bodies to show emotion, and learn to make every step mean something. Campers also work in small groups to choreograph their own short pieces, turning a story, a feeling, or a character into dance. No matter how much experience your dancer has, they'll leave as a more expressive, confident, and complete performer. The week ends with a demo presentation for family and friends, where campers share the choreography and dance theatre pieces they made together.
"Story in Motion is a first look at the new Lopez Studios Dance Program, launching Fall 2028."

Theme: Inspired by the music of High School Musical 1, 2 & 3
Get your head in the game. The Triple Threat Musical Theatre Intensive gives preteens and teens high-energy training in all three areas a musical theatre performer needs: singing, acting, and dancing. The songs, music, and scene work all come from the High School Musical trilogy. Campers learn how to connect with a song, tell a story through movement, and perform with confidence as an ensemble. Long camp days leave room for focused training and plenty of fun. If your camper loves musical theatre and dreams of Broadway, this is their week.
Please note: This camp is a training intensive that uses High School Musical as its theme. It is not a production of High School Musical, and campers will not perform the full musical. The week ends with an informal showcase of selected songs and scenes for family and friends.
