THE LOPEZ DAY CAMP
(Distance Learning Support/Option for Grades K-6)
A Day Program Designed to Support Parents and Students in Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic "RETURN TO SCHOOL"  Plan for the 2020-2021 Academic School Year

Why The Lopez Day Camp? What are the Benefits?
The Lopez Day Camp was established in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic to provide support for both parents and elementary students. The program will be offered for students who need care and support on the days that Asynchronous Learning (Hybrid Model In-Person Instruction) will take place as well as care and support for those choosing Synchronous Learning (Distance Learning). We know this is a challenging time for families and in particular for parents who need to work but also want support for their students on the days where school is not in session. No matter which learning option you have chosen for your child, we are here to help.

This new program was initiated by founding Partner Mrs. Rhonda Lopez who has over 2 decades experience in education, a BS Degree in Elementary Education, a Masters Degree in Middle School Education as well as a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. Rhonda is currently an Administrator for Loudoun County Public School.

Lopez Studios, Inc. Performing Arts School has been offering premium arts related programs to the community for 24+ years. We have had over 2500 students enter our doors to participate in our music and theater programs. In addition, hundreds of students have made Lopez Studios, Inc. a major part of their summer recreation. Our tradition of excellence through quality instruction, character education, attention to detail, and qualified staff has made us a trusted partner in providing arts related programs for the community. Lopez Studios, Inc. offers the ONLY Day Camp Support Program for the COVID-19 Pandemic of its kind in Northern Virginia!

Who Can Participate?
The Lopez Day Camp is available for students in K through 6th Grade from both Fairfax County Public Schools and Loudoun County Public Schools. Further more, participation may include students who will participate in the Hybrid Model In-Person Instruction with Social Distancing or Distance Learning. See below for The Return to School Reopening Plans for both counties we serve.
When Is The Lopez Day Camp Offered?
The Lopez Day Camp is offered during the regular school season from September - June when school is in session. (as needed during the pandemic). The hours of operation are 9:00AM to 4:00PM Monday through Friday when school is in session. Before Care is offered 7AM-9AM for those that require care at that time. We also offer an After School Program for those that need care from 4:00PM-6:30PM.

What Is The Cost of the Lopez Day Camp and What Does It Include?
The cost of the program is $70/Day ($10/Hour) or $350 for a full week. Tuition payments will be due in monthly installments based on a 10 month contract (September-June) on a 38 week calendar. You are able to select the number of days you need from 1 day per week to a full week (5 days per week). Tuition includes both Asynchronous Support for those who have selected The Hybrid Learning Model and Synchronous Support for those doing 100% Distance Learning. Each day will also offer performing arts enrichment classes, highly qualified staff, supervised homework, and PM Snacks. Visit Here to view the complete tuition break-down per days of participation.

Our Capacity
Our maximum capacity is ONLY 12 students per day. This small capacity allows us to give individual attention to each participant as well as adhere to all local and state Social Distancing Regulations. Registration is on a first come first serve basis! To be clear, The Lopez Day Camp IS NOT "Day Care". It is a program specifically offered to support parents and students during  the Adjusted Learning Models in place for the 2020-2021 Academic Season as well as providing experience and exposure in the performing arts.

Somethings to Think About!
