THE JUNIOR THEATRE FESTIVAL The Junior Theater Festival (JTF) is a weekend dedicated to celebrating young people and musical theater. Produced by iTheaterics and Theater of the Stars, JTF brings students, teachers, and Broadway Professionals together under one roof to celebrate outstanding student musical theater productions. Events include adjudication, workshops for students, professional development for directors, Broadway Celebrities, a New Works Showcase, and Awards Ceremony. The Festival has become a must attend musical theater event and has even served as the launch for Disney's High School Musical and NBC's "Smash"! ADMITTANCE INTO THE PROGRAM

We are so excited for you to audition for The LCP Festival Division! Please remember when preparing that while we are auditioning with characters in mind, we are looking for members who show a desire and willingness to grow in the program. Our decisions will be made based on student’s ability to show talent, work ethic and passion for MUSICAL THEATRE. No prior experience is required. Notifications of entry into the program will be sent out within a week following auditions. Please note that roles for our 15 minute section of the show WILL NOT be allocated until the Kick-Off of the program. As an educational program we prioritize the growth and development of our members and WILL NOT allocate roles until after we have selected the members. Auditions are open to any and everyone regardless of their enrollment status with LOPEZ!

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Accepting students ages 11-18
Auditions are scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026 (1:15PM-4:00PM)
Please prepare ONE MINUTE of a Music Theater song. Songs SHOULD be sung with a track. We will have a bluetooth speaker available in order to connect mobile devices to play music tracks. A piano will not be available for accompaniment and ACAPELLA AUDITIONS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED!
Auditions will include a vocal, acting, and movement portion. Please be aware that you must stay for the entire group audition in order to be considered for accpetance into the program.
Please be prepared to bring a recent Head Shot as well as a recent resume.

OUR SHOW SEGMENT FOR ADJUDICATION

We will be bringing our 2026 MAIN STAGE SHOW: BEETLE JUICE JR. TO THE 2027 JUNIOR THEATRE FESTIVAL.

Our group will perform a 15 minute section of the show before BROADWAY PROFESSIONALS for adjudication.

MAIN STAGE MEMBER PRIORITY

Students who have participated in this past season's MAIN STAGE (SPRING 2026) will automatically be admitted into the FESTIVAL DIVISION but will be required to audition for role placement.
